1. Niagara Falls – Canada




Niagara Falls, which is located on the border between Canada and America, is called the most powerful and famous waterfall in the world. Niagara Falls is the result of melting glaciers at the end of the ice age and emitting up to 6 million cubic meters of water per minute at high currents. That's why this waterfall is used as a source of hydropower.


The division of Niagara Falls is divided into two namely, Horseshoe Falls in Canada and American Falls in America. Both have different heights, Horseshoe Falls falls from a height of 53 meters while American Falls from 21 to 30 meters.



2. Sutherland Falls – New Zealand




Falling from a height of 580 meters, Sutherland Falls is the tallest waterfall in New Zealand. This waterfall is located in Milford Sound, South Island, New Zealand which was discovered by Donald Sutherland in 1880. There are three levels when the water falls, namely a height of 229 meters which is the highest, then from a height of 248 meters and 103 which is the lowest. The scenery presented by this waterfall is very beautiful when viewed from below.



3. Ban Gioc Detian Falls – Vietnam




The location of the Ban Gioc Detian waterfall is on the border of Vietnam and China, partly in the Karst hills, Daxing Country, Chongzuo City, Guangxi Province, China and partly in Trung Khah District, Cao Bang Province, Vietnam. The distance from Hanoi to the waterfall is about 272 km.


The location of the waterfall which has a height of 30 meters is very worthy of being dubbed the most beautiful place with a blend of trees and rocks. The water that falls from three levels makes this place a pity to miss. The beauty presented by Ban Gioc Detian is undeniable. Ban Dioc Detian Falls is also the largest waterfall in Asia.



4. Plitvice Falls – Croatia




The most beautiful waterfalls in the world then fall to Plitvice Falls which is part of Plitvice Lakes, Croatia. Plivtvice Falls is included in the National Parl Plitvice Lake area which is one of the world heritage sites by UNESCO. 10. Saint Angel – Venezuela




Saint Angel was named by the National Geographic Society as the highest waterfall in the world, with a height of 979 meters. This waterfall, located in Venezuela, was discovered by an American, James Crawford Angel, who was looking for a gold mine. The only way that can reach Saint Angel is the air route. There is no road access to Canaima National Park where Saint Angel is located.
